To elaborate, my belief system defines a ghost as the soul of one who has passed on. They can roam the earth but cannot be detected or communicate with the living in any way through any means. A spirit is more like an angel or demon, they were never living and can communicate with both the living and the dead, though their job is to assist and accompany the dead so they don’t bother with the living very often.
